IMD Issues Heavy Rain Alert
Amid incessant showers lashing the city and its suburbs, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert for Palghar district. Citing the alert, all schools and colleges in the district will remain closed on July 28, 2023.
Mumbai Receives Heavy Rainfall
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai Metropolitan area received an average rainfall of 280.72 mm from 8 am yesterday, July 27, 2023, to 8 am today. Meanwhile, Palghar district experienced even heavier rainfall, with 24-hour rainfall from 8 am yesterday to 8 am today measuring 440 mm.
